• Decreased function in daily activities (bathing, brushing teeth, eating, dressing appropriately)
• Major change in sleeping and eating patterns
• Difficulty finding words

• Abuse of illicit drugs, alcohol or prescription medication
• Aggressive behavior
• Hopelessness or loss of interest
• Auditory or visual hallucinations
• Self-destructive behavior or suicidal thoughts
• Significant memory issues
• Extreme mood swings
• Refusal to take prescribed medication
