Dr. Asad Islam, Medical Director – Psychiatry
Dr. Islam is a board-certified geriatric psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience. He leads the clinical delivery of all treatment programs including geriatric and adult inpatient programs, ECT and outpatient programs.
Dr. Islam’s whole health approach and leadership positively impacts the outcomes of care for our patients. He is devoted to service and participates in several community-building and charitable activities.
Dr. Raza Sayed, Adult Unit Director, Psychiatrist
Dr. Sayed is a board-certified psychiatrist with over ten years of experience. He treats both adult and geriatric inpatient populations with exceptional medical practices and compassionate patient care. Dr. Sayed is passionate about caring for patients and improving lives. He has won numerous awards for his patient care, including the Jansen Fellowship Award and the Outstanding Psychiatry Award.
Dr. Jaya Kumar, Medical Director – Internal Medicine
Dr. Kumar is board-certified in nephrology and internal medicine with over nine years of experience. She leads Mayhill Hospital’s medical treatment approaches and is passionate about whole health approaches and innovative medical interventions.
Dr. Kumar has held numerous leadership positions in the acute and post-acute settings. She continues to publish various scholarly articles and frequently holds keynote speaking roles addressing her research and passion for providing integrated patient care.
Dr. Loc Trieu – Internal Medicine Physician
Dr. Trieu is a board-certified internal medicine physician with over 13 years of experience. He practices an integrated care approach to treatment which yields better patient outcomes and satisfaction. He is passionate about creating innovative approaches that deliver whole health benefits to the patient populations we serve.
Dr. Trieu has operated in various healthcare provider roles and has also held administrative roles within hospital systems. He has created innovative programs for communities, physicians, hospital systems and post-acute care settings that have provided solutions to many healthcare disparities.
Nichol Attar – Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Ms. Attar has over 20 years of experience in leadership positions in hospitals and organizations across California, Arizona and Washington. Nichol holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in public administration. Nichol serves on a variety of community groups working for health equity and stronger communities. She is experienced throughout the continuum of care including inpatient hospitalization, residential treatment, sub-acute hospitalization and outpatient services.
Ms. Attar applies her experience to best serve the needs of individuals and families through patient centered, evidence-based specialized programs. She is experienced in launching solutions for specialty populations including military, native, ASD/IDD and LGBTQ programs for adults and children of all ages.
Benjamin Heath – Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Mr. Heath has been in the healthcare field for five years and his background encompasses extensive financial knowledge specifically related to the healthcare setting. He has operated as a controller and CFO for various hospital systems.
Mr. Heath has a passion for providing affordable and exceptional patient care to the communities we serve. He holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration, finance and economics from Trinity University.
Paulina Troncoso – Patient Advocate & Director of Performance Improvement
Ms. Troncoso has over six years of experience working in the behavioral health field. She started at Mayhill Hospital working as a charge nurse for the adult population. Ms. Troncoso successfully navigated through different leadership roles, adding value and her skillset to numerous departments. After operating as the Assistant Director of Nursing, she transitioned to the Quality Department as the Director of Performance Improvement to fill the roles of Compliance Officer and Patient Advocate.
Audra Johnson – Director of Clinical Services
Ms. Johnson brings 12 years of social work experience to Mayhill Hospital. Her proficiency includes child welfare, substance use treatment, mental health and education. She has also served as an intervention specialist to develop and teach guidance curriculum on substance abuse, mental health, violence, self-harm and suicide.
Ms. Johnson received her Master of Social Work at Texas A&M University and graduated Cum Laude from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor of Social Work. She won the Educator of the Year Award in 2016 from Communities in Schools of North Texas and the Social Work Student of the Year Award in 2006 from the National Association of Social Workers.
Kimberly Buckner – Director of Nursing
Ms. Buckner has been a dedicated nurse for 11 years. She is experienced in various areas of nursing including psychiatric, medical-surgical, ICU, home care, LTC, rehab and hospice. Her vast knowledge in the healthcare field has made her an exceptional leader and she is currently working towards her Master of Science in nursing. She was separated from the uniformed services in 2016 as a Lieutenant.
Melissa Adams – Director of Intake
Ms. Adams has over ten years in the behavioral health field and has experience with populations ranging from children to the geriatrics. She and her team are passionate about helping people and families in crisis make easy transitions into treatment. Ms. Adams looks forward to coming to work every day to help the intake team, patients and families we serve.
Ms. Adams holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Texas Women’s University and Master in Social Work from University of Texas at Arlington. She holds a certification in administration and is a licensed master social worker. She is about to sit for her LCSW licensure and is also working towards her LCDC licensure.
Brittney Nolan – Director of Business Development
Ms. Nolan has worked as a scientist, educator and company strategist. She has refined and developed company relationships, internal and external processes, financials, and social media platforms for the last eight years. Ms. Nolan uses her skillset to enhance community collaboration and create integrated solutions to improve patient care outcomes.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Abilene Christian University, a Master of Healthcare Administration from Colorado State University and is currently completing a Master of Finance.
